Blood vessels play a role as a lifeline streched in the whole body and
are involved in various disease. Abnormal angiogenesis participates in
tumor and hepatitis. In addition, various kinds of lifstyle disease are
induced by obesity. Obesity is also highly related with angiogenesis.
Our research goal is to develop a novel drug delivery system, which can
actively target to abnormal vasucular endothelial cells in lesion. Furthermore,
we also aim to develop an innovative DDS, which can penetrate the vascular
barrier and directly deliver the medicine to the parenchymal cells. This
project is performed with collaboration with Dr. Kyoko Hida (Graduate School
of Dental Medicine, Hokkaido University).
